Giving

We have achieved great things since our inception in 1984. Programming at Stages Theatre has grown, allowing us to serve more children in the classroom and on the stage, making us one of the largest and most respected theatres for young audiences in the country. Our investment in new play development has allowed us to bring to the stage compelling new work by emerging and established playwrights. But most importantly we have enriched the lives of many thousands of young people. What we do is important and has lasting benefits.

Our theatre programs are designed to bring out the best in every person we serve, whether in the audience or on the stage, and our contributors play a vital and important role in our ability to maintain affordable ticket and tuition fees. We serve over 120,000 children and their families annually. It is through the support from our contributors that we are able to continue to improve the quality and expand the scope of our programming while keeping our costs low.

We Believe it is Important
We believe it is important for everyone to have the opportunity to experience the arts. Support from contributors also helps us make our programs accessible to those with limited access to the arts, whether for economic, physical or geographic reasons. Through our Open Door program we provide resources for tickets, tuition and transportation subsidies for low-income families, schools and social service agencies serving at-risk youth. We are committed to serving everyone who desires to participate in our programming regardless of their ability to pay.
