Message from the Artistic Director
Imagination Transports You! Inspiration Guides You.
Imagination transports you in the 29th season at Stages Theatre Company. The 2012-13 season is filled with stories about characters “finding themselves.” Discovering who you are and where you stand take center stage as awe-inspiring stories and characters come to life in this amazing season.
A duck dreams big dreams. Two unlikely friends discover they are not so different as they travel downriver on a raft. A young girl in Paris learns the importance of giving (and receiving) in a holiday musical. Three friends, none larger than a pin, have wishes big enough to fill a room. The simple beauty of a quiet walk in the woods becomes a majestic ballet-inspired adventure on our stage. Looking (and seeing) beyond the surface, discovering value in all you see and hear, and believing in your own sense of worth all describe the final three Stages Theatre Company productions of the season.
The 2012-13 season provides any number of opportunities for inspiration and imagination. These hallmarks of childhood are alive and well at Stages Theatre Company. We believe it’s important to keep these hallmarks available to you and the children in your lives. We hope the conversations you’ll have and the explorations of who you are and where you stand will be rewarding and, of course, enjoyable. If that can happen, we have our reward.
Please join us.
