Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play a vital role in our organization. We seek volunteers to serve as Board and Committee members, to work on special projects, to assist with day-to-day projects, and to usher at performances.
Most of our volunteers get involved by ushering for performances. We have nearly 300 performances and about 95,000 audience members every year, each of whom needs to get from the parking lot to their seat. We rely almost exclusively on volunteers to make this possible. Download the brochure now.
Usher Responsibilities Can Include
- Tearing tickets
- Distributing show programs
- Assisting audience members to their seats
- Quickly walking through the theater after performances to pick up programs
As a thank you, we provide ushers with ticket vouchers to see future Stages Theatre Company productions, an invite to the annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet, along with other perks and benefits.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
We have started looking for ushers for Llama Llama Red Pajama. We are looking for ushers for the following performances:
Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m.
Saturday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m.

We are looking for experienced adults to help in our scene shop. Come help us build, paint, and construct sets for our upcoming performances. Relevant experience, in theatre or in life, a huge plus. Put your skills to good use helping introduce children to the excitement of live theatre! Some weekday availability required.
We conservatively estimate that approximately 250 volunteers donate about 3,000 hours worth of service each year to Stages Theatre Company. As we have grown, maintaining and developing a strong base of well-trained, committed volunteers has become increasingly important to us.
