Workshops for YouthOur theatre workshops are designed to inspire creativity in youth ages 4 – 17. Taught by some of the finest, professional, theatre artists in the Twin Cities, our summer and winter workshops focus on the techniques of drama, music and dance. Students are taught to explore and express their own individuality and build self-confidence through the performing arts. Ages 4 to 6 Fairy Flights Mischievous, clever and magical fairies come to life in this exciting creative dramatics class. Clap your hands and believe! Calling all Supers! Super powers, secret identities and saving the world are all in a day's work in this thrilling creative dramatics class. Reveal the super in you! Mermaid Magic Dive into the stories of mermaids like Princess Ariel and underwater friends such as Nemo in this under-the-sea adventure. Seuss on Stage Explore the wild, weird and wacky worlds of Dr. Seuss in this high-energy class for crazy characters. I Like Me Bring to life the kind, caring characters of beloved Minnesota author Nancy Carlson in this story-drama class. Great for beginners building confidence! Ages 7 to 13 High School Musical II BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Join Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the East High Wildcats in this rockin' workshop full of songs and stories of summer break. All the World's a Stage Comic characters, fast-paced action and awesome adventures await in this Shakesphere workshop for young actors. Take on funny, fabulous roles of a lifetime! Sizzling Sondheim Dive into music from Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer-Prize winning Broadway composer, Stephen Sondheim (Into the Woods, West Side Story, Sweeny Todd and more!). Polish up your next audition piece with this four-week, musical-theatre intensive workshop for teens.
