AUDITIONS AT STAGES


We typically audition youth ages 10-18 for our productions. Adult actor auditions will be posted as needed. We begin taking audition appointments 2 weeks prior to the audition dates listed below. Auditions, rehearsals & performances are held at Stages Theatre Company, located in the Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins 55343.

Please contact our Audition Coordinator Emily Sullivan by emailing esullivan@stagestheatre.org about any accommodations you may need for your upcoming audition with us. We are happy to provide materials in advance, large print scripts, or other requests as needed. Just ask!

SEEKING: Youth actors ages 10-18. Looking to cast Latine/Hispanic youth artists ages 10-18. BIPOC/Artists of the Global Majority are highly considered and encouraged to audition. Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking artists preference given but not exclusively cast. Download a flyer in English.

We seek a diverse cast and encourage actors of all ethnicities, cultures, gender identities, socioeconomic status and (dis)abilities to audition.


Accessibility Memo: We encourage you to contact us at auditions@stagestheatre.org about any accommodations you may need for your upcoming audition.
WHAT TO PREPARE: Actors should prepare a song of two minutes or less to be sung acapella (without accompaniment). Please dress for movement. A short dance will be taught at the audition. Actors will also be asked a small question about themselves and given a minute to answer.

LOCATION: All auditions, rehearsals and performances for Señorita Mariposa will take place at Stages Theatre Company, located in the Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN.

Stages Theatre Company was founded in 1984 and has since grown to become the second-largest nonprofit theatre for young audiences in Minnesota.
