PLAY A DAY: IN THE PARK

Ages 3 - 6

Each week, Mr. Matt & Ms. Megan will guide students through a brand-new Creative Drama adventure, designed to engage your young person, and your whole family through song, dance, and storytelling. We will use tactile props & take-a-way crafts and activities, to further activate students’ actor tools: body, voice & imagination! Come dressed to move, dance, sing and create. This is a stay-and-play activity; drop-off will NOT be available.
A Note on Inclement Weather: Should the temperature drop below 32 Degrees, Play-A-Day will be transitioned to a virtual format and all families will be contacted by Stages Theatre Company Staff. In the case of heavy snow or rain, Play-A-Day will transition to a virtual format and all families will be contacted by Stages Theatre Company Staff. Decisions regarding a transition to virtual class will be made by 8:00am on the day of the class.

Stages Acting Conservatory Program: COVID-19 Policies for In-Person Classes

Student and Staff safety is of utmost importance for all classes and productions at Stages Theatre Company.
Stages Theatre Company will be adhering to all requirements and recommendations given by the CDC, Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Department of Education, and Executive Orders issued by Governor Tim Walz.
Stages Theatre Company will be tracking the amount of COVID-19 cases in Hennepin County, and reserves the right to transition in-person classes to virtual classes for the following reasons:
  • The case count in the local area rises above the recommended ratio for a “Hybrid Learning for All Students” model, as noted in the Safe Learning Plan developed by the MDE, MDH and Governor Tim Walz
  • A Student, Teacher, or Stages Theatre Company Staff Member is exposed to COVID-19
  • A Student, Teacher, or Stages Theatre Company Staff Member tests positive for COVID-19
A refund will not be given should classes transition from in-person classes, to virtual classes for one of the reasons noted above.

    Additional COVID-19 Safety Procedures
  • All in-person classes will be held in the most well-ventilated spaces at the Hopkins Center for the Arts with strict cleaning guidelines.
  • All students and teachers will be required to wear masks for in-person learning, and temperatures will be taken prior to the start of class
  • All classes will practice social distancing during instruction
  • No live singing will be done in-person
  • All students & families will be required to submit an Informed Consent to Participate form, prior to the start of class, regarding participation in an in-person activity during COVID-19.
  • All students & families will be required to submit a Symptom Screening form prior to each in-person class meeting.
