OUR PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS TO
• Learn the art of stage performance
• Develop their acting skills over time
• Allow them to enter the program with any level of experience at any age
• Challenge them in new and exciting ways each term

OUR CLASSES
• Are capped at 16 students
• Are taught by professional teaching artists
• Include a written evaluation for each student
• End with a showcase for family and friends

Tuition assistance is available for all classes via the Open Door Program.

ACTING CONSERVATORY

Grade 1: First Stage

Our youngest students explore stories, create characters and play constructive acting games designed to build their actor tools—body, voice and imagination—and learn what it means to perform for an audience.

COST: $155 per student, per session*plus $5 handling fee.

STAGES THEATRE COMPANY
ACTING CONSERVATORY

Grade 2-3: CENTER STAGE

Students step-up their actor training to build self-confidence and their acting skills – body, voice and imagination—while creating characters, constructing scenes, performing scripts, and practicing beginning musical theatre skills.

COST: $195 per student, per session*plus $5 handling fee.

STAGES THEATRE COMPANY
ACTING CONSERVATORY

Grade 4-6: JUNIOR CONSERVATORY

Students delve into their actor training and develop acting skills through creating original work, playing with improvisation, performing scripts, studying character creation, working in an ensemble, and learning the rehearsal process.

COST: $195 per student, per session*plus $5 handling fee.

Grade 5-6: ADVANCED JUNIOR CONSERVATORY

Students further develop their acting skills by engaging in a more in-depth approach to their actor training through collaborating with fellow actors on original work, improvisation, the rehearsal process and character creation.

***PREREQUISITE *** Students must have completed a least a year of Junior Conservatory or equivalent to be eligible for Advanced Junior Conservatory.

Grade 5-8: MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY

Students learn to tell stories through the art of musical theatre with an in-depth development of the triple skills of singing, dancing, and acting. Students learn to portray characters through singing, dancing and acting in musical theatre scenes, songs and show-stopping numbers.

COST: $285 per student, per session*plus $5 handling fee.

ACTING CONSERVATORY

Grade 7-12: TEEN CONSERVATORY ADVANCED TRAINING PROGRAM

An intensive, in-depth, multi-year program for the teen performer that utilizes standard professional training methods and helps students form a solid foundation for acting and grow as an individual, performing artist.

TRACK ONE: AN ACTOR PREPARES

Students learn to prepare their body, mind and voice for performance; study how to approach a script; make strong character choices; and work as an ensemble. Students explore improvisation and engage in monologues and scenes from the contemporary theatre.

COST: $630 per student, per session*plus $5 handling fee.

TRACK TWO: AN ACTOR PLAYS

Our Advanced Training Program continues with students engaging with an in-depth practice in a variety of performance styles designed to challenge, grow and hone their acting skills. Two performance styles are offered each year on a rotating basis. Students may enroll in Track Two multiple times as different styles are offered each year.

PREREQUISITE: Students must complete TRACK ONE (or the equivalent) to be eligible for TRACK TWO.

Mondays, September 30 – December 7 AND January 27 – March 21, 2020

SATURDAY CLASS – DEVISED WORK
Saturdays, September 28 – December 7 AND January 25 – March 21, 2020

MONDAY class does meet on Saturday, December 7 and Saturday, March 21 for mid-term and final performance days.
Students can choose to take either the Monday class or the Saturday class OR BOTH classes.

ONE CLASS – $330.00/year

ACTING CONSERVATORY

Grade 7-12: TEEN CONSERVATORY • ACTING FUNDAMENTALS

A nine-week, 27-hour acting intensive designed for the teen performer to develop acting skills and performing confidence through exploring monologues, scenes and improvisation.

COST: $285 per student, per session*plus $5 handling fee.

STAGES THEATRE COMPANY
ACTING CONSERVATORY

Grade 5-12: SPRING TRAINING: AUDITION BOOT CAMP

In this five-week-intensive, students learn to show their best at an audition, including prepared monologues and songs, cold readings, cold singing, and dance auditions. The class includes a mock-audition—both prepared monologue and song and a callback, and is taught by three instructors—an acting coach, singing coach and dance coach.

Students receive FIVE comprehensive, written evaluations in all disciplines at the mock audition.

COST: $215 per student, per session*plus $5 handling fee.

Grade 5-12: SPRING TRAINING: SONG & DANCE BOOT CAMP

This five-week intensive is designed for students to develop their singing and dancing skills. The class focuses on singing lessons with a professional voice teacher and dance training with a professional choreographer. Success on the musical theatre stage requires building the essential skills of singing and dancing and this class trains those specific skills for that success.

Class includes 1 HOUR of private voice lessons

COST: $215 per student, per session*plus $5 handling fee.
