Fall Studio: Musical Theatre, Junie B. Jones the Musical (Grades 5-8)

It’s spunky Junie B.’s first day of school, and nothing is going as planned: Junie’s friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school, her teacher Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses; throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and you’ve got a joy filled musical with high-energy songs, dances, and hilarious scenes to dig into!

“Studio” classes are designed to simulate a theatrical rehearsal process from audition to performance, giving young actors a chance to dive deep into their performance training in a supportive and collaborative environment. Student actors will meet twice a week, spending one day a week working with professional Teaching Artists on skill-based actor training, and the remaining day in “rehearsal” working on performance material.
