Introducing The Sensory Experience Theatre (SET) Play from Stages Theatre Company!
All types of play are essential for children’s development and early learning.
At Stages, we play with purpose. Sensory Play helps children to: develop and improve their gross and fine motor skills, advance their coordination and concentration, learn how to work cooperatively and collaboratively, use all their senses in exploring their environment, and develop their imagination, creative thinking and problem solving skills.
Using storytelling with sensory integration activities, and the imagination of a theater performance, Stages Theatre Company is launching the SET Play with beloved favorite, The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
What we need to come to you:
This is a 30 minute experience. We have the ability to repeat the experience up to 5 times within one school day to accommodate your many classrooms.
An open space without desks, but no gym please. A multipurpose room is perfect!
WHO IS SET PLAY FOR?
SET Play is for daycares, preschools, and kindergartens. Additionally, we are able to accommodate for students who have Sensory Processing Disorders but do require notice for appropriate staffing.
With two actor/educators performing the SET Play, we are able to accommodate no more than 25 students per performance. The interactive nature of the play is best with at least 10 students. Part of the value of the experience is watching other’s participate as well.
$100 per performance with a maximum of 6 shows per site in one day.
