Peace 4 the Ages, first-of-its kind intergenerational collaboration between Stages Theatre Company and Alive & Kickin, brings together youth and elders in an artistic exploration of the question “What does peace mean to you?”

Youth and elders connect as pen pals and share their life experiences. Using the words and ideas shared through writing and discussions, their unique stories will come to life through music, dance, personal narrative, poetry, and video.

This project, born out of fundamental desire to expand the perspectives of youth and elders, challenges audiences to consider what different generations have to say about peace and how it changes through a lifetime.

    ABOUT ALIVE & KICKIN

Alive & Kickin (A&K) was founded in 2010 by award-winning theatre artist Michael Matthew Ferrell with a mission to give voice to senior citizens through vocal performance and storytelling. A&K challenges the typical idea of what it means to “participate in a senior choir,” providing a space for isolated and underserved community members to connect with one another, find new purpose in life, and spread their inspirational message to multigenerational audiences across the state. The company, consisting of cast members ages 60- 99+ “years young,” has grown to reach and serve more than 5,000 Minnesotans annually. For more information please visit www.aliveandkickinmn.org.
