2021/2022 Season

38th Season - Imagine the Journey

FROM THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Sandy Boren-Barrett

Welcome to our 2021-2022 season,
Imagine the Journey!

Crafting a season IS certainly a journey! It is a joy-filled process of thinking about all of YOU—creating a season that inspires imaginations while it entertains. As we were considering the books and stories to bring to life on stage for you, it became obvious that in EVERY show next season there is a journey of self-discovery for our characters.

While Buddy journeys from the North Pole to find his family and place in the world, The North Star is a journey to chart your own path through the constellations, to find YOUR North Star. What Do You Do With An Idea? is literally the journey of an idea and the imagination needed to let it soar. Tuck Everlasting is Winnie Foster embarking on an adventure and having to decide whether to drink the potion to live forever or not. All American Boys is the life path of two boys converging because of racial violence, and how their lives intersect as they discover more about who they are, and who they can become. Ariel realizes that choices she makes in the interest of discovery, takes her on a journey to find out what really matters most: family. Lastly, Buckets, a joyful journey is a place to imagine those things that bring joy to others and in turn YOU. It is a journey that INCLUDES our youngest audience members in imagination and story.

We have so much fun, and adventure in store for you this season. Stages Theatre Company is a place for everyone and YOU are a part of our JOURNEY. We are proud of the discoveries we help you make, and the journeys these stories will take you on! We want you to imagine your JOURNEY this season and thank you for being a part of ours.
