Stages Theatre Company will continue
to update these policies as MDH and CDC guidelines
continue to evolve.
“Welcome Packet” emails will be sent 4 weeks prior to the first day of workshop and will include finalized policy information.
Last Updated January 26, 2022
STUDENT VACCINATION OR TESTING REQUIREMENT
All students 5.5+ are required to be fully vaccinated, including any recommended boosters for their age group OR provide a negative PCR test taken under medical supervision no more than 72 hours before attending their first day of camp.
All parent/guardians will be required to show their student’s proof of vaccination or negative PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before workshop) at DROP OFF on their student’s first day of Summer Theatre Workshop.
If an unvaccinated child is attending multiple camp sessions, or a workshop that lasts multiple weeks, a new PCR test must be provided prior to each new week/session of camp. Due to their margin of error, home tests and rapid tests will not be accepted.
All Stages Theatre Company staff, teaching artists, and interns are required to be fully vaccinated, including recommended boosters.
For the health and safety of all, we cannot provide exceptions to these requirements.
FACE MASKS
Masks are required for all students, faculty, interns and staff, regardless of vaccination status for all indoor activities that are not eating and drinking. Should CDC and MDH guidelines allow, masks will not be required for outdoor activities; lunch and snack breaks will take place outside whenever possible. Face shields and neck gaiters are not considered acceptable face coverings. For the health and safety of all, we cannot provide exceptions to these requirements.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
Stages Theatre Company teaching artists will adapt activities to allow for at least 3 feet of distancing whenever possible.

POSITIVE COVID-19 CASES & COVID-19 EXPOSURES

Per Minnesota Department of Health recommendations, students will be required to isolate for at least 5 days from the onset of symptoms or positive test result, and the student is fever-free for at least 24 hours. Stages Theatre Company reserves the right to require proof of a negative test prior to students returning to class.
If your student is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms: Students with COVID-19 symptoms will NOT be permitted in class without proof of a negative test, regardless of vaccination status. Administrator will remove student from class at the onset of symptoms and call home for the student to be picked up.
If a student, faculty member, intern, or staff person tests positive for COVID-19 during your student’s Summer Theatre Workshop: Your family will be notified by a Stages staff member. Stages Theatre Company is committed to following the Minnesota Department of Health’s close contact exposure quarantine guidelines which states:
If you have had a close contact with someone with COVID-19, you do not need to quarantine if:
-
You are 5 years old or older and have completed ALL recommended doses of COVID-19 vaccine when eligible, including a booster or additional doses.
-
You had COVID-19 in the past three months.
If you have had close contact with someone with COVID-19, you need to quarantine if:
-
You are not vaccinated.
-
You are not up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations.
If your student is exposed to COVID-19 outside of camp during their Summer Theatre Workshop: Stages Theatre Company is committed to the Minnesota Department of Health’s COVID-19 Decision Tree regarding students who are a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19 outside of class. Please inform Stages Theatre Company staff of the exposure to ensure accurate monitoring for symptoms.
