Spookley the Square Pumpkin sprouts up this autumn in our JC Studio! When Spookley arrives in the pumpkin patch he is teased by all the other pumpkins because of his odd shape. Even after his new friends—the boisterous spiders Edgar, Allen and Poe—try to convince him to run for the Pick of the Patch contest, Spookley still isn’t sure he has what it takes. However, a threatening storm may just give Spookley the inspiration to discover his own worth. This imaginative puppetry extravaganza filled with memorable music returns this fall to encourage everyone to “dare to be square!”

AUDIENCE RESPONSE

  • One of the best shows we've seen at Stages!
  • Great show! The characters were delightful. The music was fun, and we learned the Transylvania twist. The scarecrow was awesome! Thanks, Stages. I'll bring the grandkids back, again and again.
  • Excellent show! Loved the interactive puppetry and the ability of the actors to bring the little people into the midst of the show and still stay within character. Talented kids and talented adults!
  • An absolutely delightful performance! Perfect for younger kids. So much thought and care was put into staging, pre-show engagement, and the show itself. We can't wait for the next Stages experience!
  • Great show! I thought all of your cast members were really great. The singing was really fabulous and the scarecrow did a wonderful job entertaining and warming up an audience with so many young kids. I also love how the cast takes time to greet the audience and take pictures after the show!
