We believe that every individual should be able to access the joy, wonder, and benefits of participation in the theatre arts.  We are working towards a future beyond compliance – toward a fully inclusive environment where all programs and performances are accessible to all. Parents are encouraged to contact the Access Coordinator, Rachel Olson, rolson@stagestheatre.org prior to enrollment to discuss accommodations and support strategies to ensure a successful experience at Summer Theatre Workshop.

Please register your student according to the grade level they are currently in or the age that they will be on the first day of the workshop. Students should only enroll in workshops intended for their age at the start of workshop, or grade level in the Fall of 2025. Although we understand that skill and maturity levels vary, younger students may not register up a grade level for any reason. If you’d like your student to register for a class that they have aged out of, please contact ejones@stagestheatre.org.

Summer Studio Frequently Asked Questions

Unfortunately, we are unable to make any age/grade exceptions, for any reason, for all Summer Studio classes.

Will you be holding auditions?

Yes. Auditions will be held during the first two days of each Summer Studio workshop. All registered students will be cast in a role.  Students will be guided through the audition process as a part of the class.

If your student is going to miss more than 2 days of Summer Studio, we do not recommend registering. It is a fast process, and for your student to have the most optimal experience, it is best for them to attend all days of the class. We will be asking for conflicts during the first week of the class, and conflicts will influence casting decisions.

Yes. Summer Studio is first and foremost a class, and therefore is designed to engage students each day of the session.

There is not a pre-requisite, however we do not recommend registering for Summer Studio if this is your young person’s first theatre class/camp experience. If this is your student’s first theatre experience (class or performance), we recommend a one-week Summer Theatre Workshop.
