Individual Giving

Mission: Stages Theatre Company is committed to the enrichment and education of children and youth in a professional theatre environment that stimulates artistic excellence and personal growth.

Individual contributors help sustain STC’s broad spectrum of artistic and education programs.

Since 1984, your gift has helped us achieve great things. Programming at Stages Theatre Company has grown, allowing us to serve more youth in the classroom and on the stage, making us one of the most respected theatres for young audiences in the country.
With your help, investment in new play development has allowed us to bring to the stage compelling new work by emerging and established playwrights. But most importantly, you have enriched the lives of many thousands of young people. Our theatre programs are designed to bring out the best in every person we serve, whether in the audience, on the stage, or in the classroom, and you provide the resources necessary for us to continue growing our education programs and producing entertaining plays for young audiences.
It is important for everyone to have the opportunity to experience the arts. Support from our individual donors helps us make every program accessible to those with limited access to the arts, whether for economic, physical or geographic reasons. Through our Open Door Program, you provide resources for tickets, tuition and transportation subsidies for low-income families, schools and social service agencies serving at-risk youth.

We are committed to serving everyone who desires to participate in our programming regardless of their ability to pay, and your contributions to our annual fund support this valued program.

  • "We can’t say enough about Next Stage. When she started as a little orphan in Annie she was very quiet and barely talked in school. Being in that camp gave her a taste of theater and helped give her the confidence to try it in middle school. We loved that trying something new without knowing anyone turned into one of her favorite things to do which is improv and acting. She’s not that quiet little girl anymore! So...thank you to Stages for this experience! I could care less if my kids are leads, in the ensemble or floorboards 32 and 33...it’s just fun to see them creating a production as a team!" - Stages Parent
  • "Stages Theatre, thank you for an awesome performance of Willy Wonka Jr. We appreciate you inviting HopeKids. It has been several weeks, but our boys are still singing songs from the show. Thank you for providing HopeKids with tickets to see Willy Wonka! I took my typical son for a mother/son date. Not only did we enjoy the show, but we enjoyed the alone time, just the two of us. Life is hard with a special needs child. It's so nice to have a little "normal" once in a while."
  • "Stages is such a professional and well-run organization with amazing young adult actors who serve as mentors, and stage crew and directors who are truly invested in each of the kids who participate. The fact that there is no cost to be in a production and free passes for parents is a huge bonus as well.”
