Ticket Policy: Ticket orders will not be processed without full payment. We do not issue refunds. Exchanges can be made up to 24 hours prior to a scheduled performance. Exchanges can only be made for another performance of the SAME TITLE. Subject to availability.

GENERAL INFORMATION:


  • MAINSTAGE: Unless otherwise noted, performances take place in the mainstage theatre. Seating is reserved and begins 30 minutes prior to showtime.
  • JAYCEE STUDIO: The Jaycees Studio, an intimate and versatile space located in the same building as our mainstage, in the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Seating is general admission and begins 30 minutes prior to show time. Come early for the most seating options!
  • THEATRE FOR THE VERY YOUNG: Buckets will be held in the Jaycees Studio. Seating is limited and includes floor seats. This is an interactive experience for our youngest audience members.

    SENSORY FRIENDLY PROGRAMMING



    Sensory Friendly Performances

    Stages Theatre Company’s Sensory Friendly Performances are designed for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, as well as those with other sensory, social, cognitive disabilities and mental illnesses.

    Sensory Modifications include:

    • Light in the theatre will remain on throughout the performance

    • Loud noises and intense lighting will be lowered or removed.

    • Crowds are minimized, audience members can move around throughout the performance.

    • Fidgets and noise-cancelling headphones are encouraged and available. Audience members are welcome to bring their own manipulatives, seat cushions, comfort objects, and extra support items to the show.

    • Social Stories, and Plot Summaries will be provided in advance before each Sensory Friendly Performance.

    • A Take-A-Break Space will be available to use throughout the performance, which is equipped with sensory supports


    SENSORY-FRIENDLY PERFORMANCES


    Stages Theatre Company’s relaxed, sensory-friendly performances are designed for children and young people on the autism spectrum, or others with sensory sensitivities. House lights will be on, sound levels will be lowered, and crowds are minimized for these judgment-free, “shushfree” performances. Fidgets, sound-canceling headphones, a theatre guide and plot summary (with photos), and a quiet room are available.

    Noise Canceling Headphones

    Noise Canceling Headphones are available for all Stages Theatre Company Productions for audience members. Headphones are free of charge at the Box Office beginning 30 minutes prior to each performance. We require a photo ID or credit card to be held at the Box Office while headphones are being used.

    Assisted Listening Devices


    Assisted Listening Devices are available for all Stages Theatre Company’s Main Stage Productions for audience members that would like additional audio support in performances.

    Headsets are free of charge at the Box Office beginning 30 minutes prior to each performance. We require a photo ID or credit card to be held at the Box Office while assisted listening devices are being used.

    *Consult your audiologist to answer questions about which audio cables you need to connect your hearing technology or cochlear implant to the ALD if you do not wish to use the provided headset.


    MOBILITY


    Wheelchair accessible seating is available at every Stages Theatre Company performance.

    To reserve wheelchair accessible seating:

    ONLINE: If seating is reserved, select seats marked with wheelchair icon. If seating is general admission, there will be multiple wheelchair accessible locations and you do not need to reserve a specific seat ahead of time. * Spaces marked with a wheelchair icon DO NOT have an actual seat. These are open spaces meant for patrons using wheelchairs to pull directly in to.

    Accessible Parking is available at the rear of the Hopkins Center for the Arts and on the street level of the public parking ramp.

    BUS INFORMATION There’s a Metro Transit bus stop directly in front of Stages Theatre Company. Routes 12, 612, 615 and 664 will take you to the Hopkins Arts Center. To plan your route via Metro Transit: https://www.metrotransit.org

    Service Dogs


    Certified service dogs are welcome at Stages Theatre Company. A Service Dog is defined as individually trained to perform specific tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or other mental disability. The tasks performed by a Service Dog must be directly related to the individual’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is “the provision of emotional support, well-being, comfort or companionship” are not considered Service Dogs under ADA.

    Pay What You Can Performances


    Stages Theatre Company offers Pay What You Can Performances for each of these productions. These performances have no minimum price, and patrons are asked to “pay what you can” the day of the show to support the theatre’s programming.

    Tickets must be reserved. Beginning 30 days prior to the performance, please call the Box Office at (952)-979-1111 option 4. *A maximum of 6 tickets per production, and 3 Pay What You Can performances per season, per household.




    PAY WHAT YOU CAN PERFORMANCES (PWYC)*



    Tickets are available beginning 30 days prior to performance dates. Households can reserve up to 4 tickets for a PWYC performances, for a max of 4 performances per season. Call the Box Office at 952-979-1111 option 4 to reserve tickets.

    Open Door Program


    The Open Door Program provides free and reduced cost tickets, bus subsidies, and tuition assistance to low income families, schools, and social service agencies.

    Through our Open Door Program, we offer need-based tuition assistance for our fee-based programs, such as our Winter and Summer Theatre workshops, Creative Play Academy and Acting Conservatory.

    Stages Theatre Company welcomes U.S. military personnel, spouses and children, as well as U.S. veterans

    2021/2022 Military Discount for military personnel and their immediate families: $5 tickets for all productions.
    Discount available for military personnel and their immediate families (includes-spouses, children, and parents of those serving in the military).

    Stages Theatre Company was founded in 1984 and has since grown to become the second-largest nonprofit theatre for young audiences in Minnesota.

    Stages serves nearly 150,000 youth (ages 2-17) and family members annually through high-quality opportunities on stage, backstage, in the audience, and in the classroom.
