Ticket Policy: Ticket orders will not be processed without full payment. We do not issue refunds. Exchanges can be made up to 24 hours prior to a scheduled performance. Exchanges can only be made for another performance of the SAME TITLE. Subject to availability.

GENERAL INFORMATION:


  • MAINSTAGE: Unless otherwise noted, performances take place in the mainstage theatre. Seating is reserved and begins 30 minutes prior to showtime.
  • JAYCEE STUDIO: The Jaycees Studio, an intimate and versatile space located in the same building as our mainstage, in the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Seating is general admission and begins 30 minutes prior to show time. Come early for the most seating options!
  • THEATRE FOR THE VERY YOUNG: Buckets will be held in the Jaycees Studio. Seating is limited and includes floor seats. This is an interactive experience for our youngest audience members.

    SENSORY-FRIENDLY PERFORMANCES


    Stages Theatre Company’s relaxed, sensory-friendly performances are designed for children and young people on the autism spectrum, or others with sensory sensitivities. House lights will be on, sound levels will be lowered, and crowds are minimized for these judgment-free, “shushfree” performances. Fidgets, sound-canceling headphones, a theatre guide and plot summary (with photos), and a quiet room are available.

    ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES


    Assisted listening devices are available for all main stage Stages Theatre Company productions.
    Devices can be picked up at the Box Office beginning 30 minutes prior to the performance. We require a photo ID or credit card be held at the Box Office while assisted listening devices are being used.

    ASL INTERPERTED &
    AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES


    American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation by certified interpreters is offered for one performance of each of our productions.
    ASL Interpreters for 2021-2021 Season: To Be Announced!

    Audio Description services are intended to enhance the understanding of and access to visual information primarily for but not limited to people who are blind or have low vision.
    Audio Description (AD) is the art of turning what is seen into what is heard; the visual is communicated through the use of the human voice and descriptive language.

    How to Reserve: Call (952) 979-1111, option 4 to purchase tickets to ASL Interpreted & Audio Described performances. Please request to be seated near the ASL interpreter, or please note that you will be utilizing the Audio Description service when purchasing your tickets.

    There is one ASL Interpreted & Audio Described Performance for each production. Please see our “Upcoming Shows” page for specific dates and times listed by production.

    *Discounted prices apply to the individual needing interpretation or audio description and one companion. Please request this when purchasing your tickets.

    Wheelchair accessible seating is available at every Stages Theatre Company performance.
    To reserve wheelchair accessible seating:
  • ONLINE: If seating is reserved, select seats marked with wheelchair icon. If seating is general admission, there will be multiple wheelchair accessible locations and you do not need to reserve a specific seat ahead of time. * Spaces marked with a wheelchair icon DO NOT have an actual seat. These are open spaces meant for patrons using wheelchairs to pull directly in to.*
  • BY PHONE: Contact the Box Office at (952) 979-1111, option 4. Please ask for Wheelchair Accessible seating at the time reservation is made.
  • PARKING for those with mobility limitations is available at the rear of the Hopkins Center for the Arts and on the street level of the public parking ramp.
    BATHROOMS on first floor of HCA have wheelchair accessible stalls.

    OPEN DOOR PROGRAM

    We provide free and reduced price tickets, bus subsidies, and tuition assistance to families, schools, and social service agencies with financial need.     Stages Theatre Company is committed to making our programs accessible to all students and their families. The Open Door Program provides free and reduced cost tickets, bus subsidies, and tuition assistance to low income families, schools, and social service agencies.

    Reduced Cost Tickets to Shows & Bus Subsidies
    In addition to our Pay What You Can performances, reduced cost tickets for families, school groups, and other organizations that qualify for free and reduced lunch are available for all Stages Theatre Company productions.

    TUITION ASSISTANCE
    FOR CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

    Through our Open Door Program, we offer need-based tuition assistance for our fee-based programs, such as our Winter and Summer Theatre workshops, Creative Play Academy and Acting Conservatory.

    MILITARY DISCOUNT

    Stages Theatre Company welcomes U.S. military personnel, spouses and children, as well as U.S. veterans

    2019/2020 Military Discount for military personnel and their immediate families: $5 tickets for all productions.
    Discount available for military personnel and their immediate families (includes-spouses, children, and parents of those serving in the military).
    Contact the Box Office at (952) 979-1111, option 4 and identify yourself as military personnel by using code MILITARY.
    *Restrictions: Good for a maximum of FOUR tickets for a total of FOUR productions in one season; excludes any other discounts or specials offers; not valid on previously purchased tickets; cannot be used online. Other restrictions may apply. Excludes: Theater for The Very Young productions (Down on the Farm and Buckets).

    Stages Theatre Company was founded in 1984 and has since grown to become the second-largest nonprofit theatre for young audiences in Minnesota.

    Stages serves nearly 150,000 youth (ages 2-17) and family members annually through high-quality opportunities on stage, backstage, in the audience, and in the classroom.
