FROM THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

A Season of Possibility!

“When nothing is sure, everything is
possible.” -Margaret Drabble

I don’t believe in “impossible,” and I don’t think young people start from “impossible” either. They believe in a world where amazing things happen to everyday people. Where goodness overcomes evil and where friendships happen in places you least expect. They believe in a world of endless possibility. And so do I. When you think it might be time to give up because it all seems too uncertain, something or someone shows you the way back to “what if.” That, my friends, is possibility.

My goal this season is to provide a place for young people to explore what makes them happy, proud, adventurous, and brave. To use their imaginations to explore the value that all people bring into their lives even when differences seem to outweigh similarities. Possibility opens the space to imagine what could be and this season holds all of that.

In a time when nothing was sure, young people brought me back over and over again to the world of possibility. It’s a gift they shared just by believing and hoping. And it was contagious. As I write this message, my wish is for you to enjoy this Season of Possibility as an opportunity to grow and imagine, to challenge and question, and yes, to dream of a place where amazing things happen, good overcomes evil, and friendships happen when we need them the most. As you sit in the theatre, I wish for you to forget about “what is” and instead reach for “what if.” Imagine the limitless possibilities to be had when we learn from the stories we share.
