Founded in 1984, Stages Theatre Company has grown to become one of the largest and most respected professional theatres for young audiences in the country. STC operates out of the Hopkins Center for the Arts, a 37,000 square foot multi-disciplinary art facility located on Mainstreet in the heart of downtown Hopkins. The company welcomes over 150,000 young people and their families annually through its production, education and in-school outreach programs.

K-12 CERTIFIED THEATRE TEACHER

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Stages Theatre Company seeks a K-12 certified Theatre teacher with specific skill and curriculum in student devised work, social justice theatre and/or musical theatre. Theatre licensure required for this .6 year-round teaching position working with students grades 9-12 in a racially diverse arts high school.

Experience teaching theatre in a public-school setting, and a background working effectively with students of color highly valued. Applicants must have experience in directing productions with this age group and be committed to working in a vibrant arts environment committed to equity, academic excellence, and high-quality artistic expression.

BOX OFFICE ASSOCIATE

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Stages Theatre Company is seeking an independent, responsible, outgoing individual who excels at customer service to fill immediate opening for PT Box Office Associate-with potential to add hours for House Management.

  • Flexible weekday, evening, and weekend hours
  • 12-20 hrs/wk.
  • Employees receive complimentary tickets to Stages Theatre Company productions
  • QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
  • Customer service experience required.
  • General theater knowledge and experience with computerized ticketing software is preferred.
  • House Management experience a plus
  • Must have Wednesday and/or Thursday availability
  • Stages Theatre Company does background checks on all employees prior to hiring.
