This time with mythical proportions! A Mystery. A Scavenger Hunt. A Puzzle Room. A Walking Tour. A Theatre Performance—all wrapped into one adventurous journey for your family!

WHAT’S THE EXPERIENCE ABOUT?
Pandora’s Box has gone missing! We need your help in finding it and preventing it from wreaking havoc in Downtown Hopkins. Help us piece together the clues to find the box and keep it buried forever. Gather your family, put on your detective hats, and follow the mysterious threads along Main Street Hopkins to unlock the story. You will be given a map and a set of clues to follow, but it is up to your family to solve the puzzles for the story to continue. Clues include letters with riddles, cryptograms, cyphers and puzzles to be solved in each location. The more you uncover, the more the mystery is revealed!

TWO OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM:

THE WALKING TOUR OPTION

Detect the Story: The Downtown Hopkins Journey
Starting with a mystery package that you collect at the Hopkins Center of the Arts your family will walk through downtown Hopkins to experience the enchanted tale at your own pace. Help collect the story and collect some new friends along the way. A portable electronic devise will be necessary for you to scan QR codes at each location and watch the performance as you piece the fragments together to reveal the mystery.

THE AT-HOME OPTION

Detect the Story: The at home version
Unable to make it to Hopkins, or prefer to solve puzzles from home? We are also offering an at home version of this family adventure. Your puzzles and challenges will be curated for an at home experience, but every solution will unlock the same story as the walking tour option. During her time in leadership STC has been awarded National recognition, with the 2017 Harold Oaks Award for Innovative Contributions to the Field of Theatre for Young Audiences , as well as the 2018 - 50/50 Applause Award for promoting gender equity with playwrights. STC’s 2019-2020 season selection was highlighted in TYA Today Magazine as an example of “a promising increase in representation, specifically in works that feature the stories of contemporary young people of color”. Sandy led an International performance tour and artistic exchange with the “Young Peoples Theatre of Theatre Royal” in Bath England, and continues to provide collaborative experiences with other production companies. Sandy has served as board chair for the Minnesota Theatre Alliance, and is currently chair of Mn. Citizens for the Arts.
